Richard Edwin Bingham, 77, of Volcano, died Jan. 18, 2019, at the Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Grass Valley, Calif. He was a retired table games dealer at the Flamingo Hilton in Laughlin, Nev.

He is survived by three daughters, Marissa Ruby, Nakesha Bingham, and Alena McNeal; son, Richard G. Bingham; two sisters, Phillis Jennings and Dolores Klienhan; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Katharine Stormont
Katharine Wessel Stormont, 85, of Hilo, died Jan. 15, 2019, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired health aide for the Department of Education, member of the First United Protestant Church, Noe Noe Golf Club, Reed’s Bay Girls Golf Club, a graduate of Hilo High School and the University of Hawaii-Manoa.

She is survived by husband, William J. Stormont of Hilo, sons, William T. (Jan De Luz) Stormont of Hilo, John P. (Jennifer) Stormont of Seattle, Samuel M. (Nancy) Stormont of San Francisco, Edward A. Stormont of Sherwood, Oregon; eight grandchildren.

David Jeffery Goebel, 37 of Pahoa, died Jan. 20, 2019, at home. He was born on Jan. 24, 1981, in Seattle.
